Can You Ever Stop Loving Google?

I will be the first to admit that I love Google.

Not only have they always offered a clean Search Engine Interface but they keep adding quality programs that anyone can use and all at no cost!

The most recent? Writely.com. It’s still in Beta but I’ve been using it now for a little while and really love it – especially because I have had hard drives crash before and with Writely I can save some of my most important documents to a safe place.

Not to mention, I can collaborate on-line with others, they can view my files or I can keep them to myself.

Why Blog?

The most important thing you need to know when you’re beginning your on-line business is that no one will visit.

Let me rephrase that, no one will visit unless there is something there of value to your visitor. Aside from your articles on your site, you should keep a blog, just like this one. It keeps people informed as to what is going on in your business world and ideally you are giving them fabulous freebies and exactly what they came for which is information, information, information. Not to mention that Search Engines absolutely LOVE it when it sees that a website is a living, breathing, thing and not just some stagnant sales pitch.

Too many people think that by just putting up a website, their job is done. That may be oversimplifying things since I can hear some of you telling me you update your products on a regular basis.

Who cares?

No one is going to your website to read about your products unless you have found some miracle anti-aging/cellulite/weight product and even then they’d be questioning your authenticity (although I might take a look at something like that )

New and Confused? I’m here to help…

Nothing is more confusing than information overload! Am I right?

The Internet is an absolutely FANTASTIC way for you to build an on-line business but if you are brand new to the entrepreneur’s world and especially the ON-line entrepreneur’s world, you have no doubt visited, read, downloaded, maybe even bought into some not-so-great-products and are just feeling a tad bit overwhelmed with the whole process.

So overwhelmed in fact that you are already at your wits end and ready to throw in the towel.

Before you give up your dreams, just know that you are not unlike the thousands of other people who decide this each and every day. The goal for you is to be different and just step back a minute.

I have been in your shoes and have seen the junk and the promises and the hype. I have also realized some very important points that I will share with you as you continue your journey…

…one of them being that even though you’re overall purpose for becoming an entrepreneur is to make a living, your overall goal should be to give to your customer. There is nowhere more important to follow the Golden Rule than in the on-line business-world!

The words used to define the Golden Rule may be different but they all mean the same thing…

“Treat others the way you would like to be treated.”

If you simply keep this in mind as you create your on-line business entity, you will have a winner each and every time!

Think of it this way, when you visit a web site, do you want to be sold? Of course not. You went to that web site because you were seeking out information that they may have had.

If all of a sudden you find yourself staring at blinking banner ads and every other link on their site leads you to yet another sales page somewhere, all you want to do is run. Obviously that person does not have your best interest at heart.

On the other hand if you find a site does have the information you seek and they in turn have links to other companies that will in fact benefit you or they have a product that you feel you would benefit from, you have no problem clicking on that link or purchasing that product because you feel you have gotten something of value in return.

Just like you, all on-line entrepreneurs want to make money. It is how you go about it that makes a difference in whether or not you are successful.

OK then, if we’re all in agreement and you’re a little more relaxed and you’ve decided for now not to give up your dreams, keep an eye out on this blog and you’ll discover a ton of tips and ideas and even answers to some of your questions.
