Separating work from parenting when you’re a WAHM…

Filed under: Parenting, The Kids, WAHM, kids — Kristine - A WAHM @ 9:26 am

The fact is, there really is no separation.  If you hear a little voice hollar from their bedroom that they need help or when the clock says it’s lunchtime, we WAHM’s and Dad’s drop everything to make sure our little ones get the help they need or have a healthy meal regardless of how busy our schedule is.

The truth is, I wouldn’t change a thing.  I can’t imagine dropping my little one off to be raised by a daycare while I work to make money for an already large corporation.  If I sound bitter, I don’t mean to.  I was blessed enough to be placed in a situation where I could start my own company without worrying about our family sacrificing too much.

This is just a long way to say that the portion of the www.Be-a-WAHM.com website that deals with parenting will soon be on it’s own server.

The Be-a-Parent.com website will soon be up and running along with tips, articles, ideas, recipes, helpful places to go, and more!

We’ll keep you updated!!

Keeping the kids busy…

Filed under: The Kids, WAHM — Kristine - A WAHM @ 4:32 am

Today I’m not going to talk about work.

I just thought that as a fellow WAHM you would be interested in a few websites that not only help to educate your toddlers but also are a lot of fun for them too.

If they’ve been taught to use the computer, supervised of course, then these websites are truly outstanding for them to visit:

PBSKids.org;

Noggin;

and a brand new one I just found which has wonderful games and “how-tos” on it. They’ll be learning and not even know it! – Ask for Kids

Do you know of any fun and educational websites that your kids like to use? Let us know and share with other parents who visit here. Just leave a comment below.

All the best,
Kristine
